Matar Ali Al Zahrani is a master of reverse expertise: he is one of the very few who has adapted the skills he learned in Petrochemical sector and applied them very successfully to private enterprise. Starting out in 1991in the petrochemical industry as a Process Engineer with a joint venture between SABIC and Exxon Mobil in Jubail, he spent 15 years learning and creating the best practices in that industry in Saudi Arabia.
He was instrumental in helping the company to become the first Saudi enterprise to earn ISO 9000 rating, and was part of the team that saw well production in Kemya increase from its name plate of 270 000 tons per year to over 930 thousand/year in different phases.
