The Saudi Paper Manufacturing Company was founded in 1991 with a production capacity of 16,000 metric tons per annum. Fifteen years later, Saudi Paper has expanded its capacity to 70,000 metric tons per annum and represents an investment of approximately $400 million. It is now the largest producer of hygienic tissue paper products in the region. In 2003, Prince Abdullah added to his portfolio further ,establishing the Saudi Converting Company, which quickly became a major player in the tissue business. He is the President of the Saudi Environmental Projects Company, which is active in water treatment projects and other environmental projects throughout the Kingdom
