In the private sector, Dr. Al Omair has had a diversified career serving on the boards of major corporations and organizations involved in myriad businesses in Saudi Arabia and abroad. Dr. Al Omair was Chairman of Saudi Petrochemical Company, Chairman of Arab Pharmaceutical Industries and Medical Appliances Company (ACDIMA), SPIMACO and Chairman of the OPEC Fund for International Development in Vienna, as well as Chairman of the Saudi Industrial Development Fund and the King Fahad Causeway, linking the KSA with Bahrain. Dr. Al Omair serves as Chief Executive Officer at Solidarity Saudi Takaful Company, chairs the board at the Arabia Insurance Cooperative Company and is also the Chairman of Saudi ORIX. In the banking industry he served as Chairman of the Board of Saudi Arabia Credit Suisse Bank and, 15 months ago, the Doctor added the Banque Saudi Fransi (BSF) to his list of corporate Chairmanships.
