Recognizing the need to involve the private sector, Mr Al Mobty was instrumental l in helping attract investment through initiatives. Among his projects was the creation of the Industrial City, a 12 Million square meter industrial park, which will be home to over 1000 industries involved in everything from handcrafts to medicine and the attraction of major investors to Asir: Al Watan Newspaper, the Abha Trading Company, the Rokham marble quarries, as well a pharmaceutical manufacturing companies, bakeries, clothing and packaging.
