This year, we had 20 million visitors to Saudi Arabia ; yet the majority left without seeing much of what this country has to offer. The tourism industry is the largest employer in the world, and it will bring jobs and opportunities and give Saudi Arabia the third economic diversification leg that it sorely needs in addition to petrochemicals and mining. Tourism is now one of the areas of focus for my Group. It is not an easy business to be in but I strongly believe in its potential. A lot of hard work has already gone into identifying suitable investment opportunities and much more still needs to be done.
